The Effect of Competition period on Performance Parameters of Amateur Football Players
Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the competition period training program on the performance parameters of an amateur football team. 15 volunteer footballers participated in the study. Pre-training and post-training heart rate (beat/min), systolic and diastolic blood pressure (mmHg), flexibility (cm), leg strength (kg), back strength (kg),right and left hand grip (kg), anaerobic power (kg-m/sc), aerobic capacity (lt/min), body fat percentile (%), forced expression volume (FEV-lt/s), forced vital capacity (FVC-lt), peak expression flaw (PEF-lt/m), maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV-l/dk) , peak inspiration maximum mouth pressure (PIMAX) and peak expression maximum (PEMAX) mouth pressure were measured. Paired t- test was used for statistical analysis. There was significant increases (p<0,05) of systolic pressure (mmHg), leg strength (kg), anaerobic power (kg-m/s) and body fat percentile (%) comparing the parameters after the match period training program. It was no significant differences all other parameters. As a result; the lack of change some performance parameters can bee explained with acquirements of preparation training period maintained the competition period.
